Production

Established in 1902, Robellaz & Cie SA acquired through the years the necessary know how to machine with extreme  precision the corundum, obtained through the Al₂0₃ syntesis as ruby and sapphire.

Corundum properties :

• high hardness (next to diamond)
• pressure resistant
• acids and alkalis proof
• high melting point

• low friction coefficient
• high lasting
• single crystal structure
• very low attrition
• perfect tightness

All above joined properties in the same material are optimum for high-tech industrial applications and where precise dimensions are requested in addition to the above properties and in the following.

with tolerances in order of +/- 1 micron.
